Two weeks ago I learned something from this small flower. It taught me that beautiful things can grow out of hard places!

I am writing this from Ohio today, where I am visiting my family. It is beautiful here right now.
The winner of my photo "Sensual" is Jen Kenoyer from Richland, WA. Congrats Jen!
A few weeks ago I attended the "Being Fearless" conference in NYC sponsored by the Omega Institute. For more information on their workshops and classes, go to www.eomega.org
Some of the speakers included Al Gore, Nora Ephron (stay tuned in the next few weeks to be hearing from her), Jane Goodall and others.
I had the chance to sit down and talk with Iyanla Vanzant. She sounds just like Whoopi Goldberg, and she is inspiring and hilarious!
What are your greatest challenges? Do you ever feel overwhelmed?
Today her advice to us is to EAT THE ELEPHANT ONE BITE AT A TIME! (And start with the tail, not the butt)!
Iyanla knows about hard times. She became a single parent at 16. By the age of 21, she had three children. She lived on welfare, and walked out on her second marriage, which she termed an abusive relationship. She is now a best selling author who has appeared on The View and on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
